Anna says “I love the Wintec brand and many of my friends ride in a Wintec because I have preached at them about how amazingly versatile, light and comfortable they are for me and my horse. In endurance, the horse really gets tested and any anomalies in a poor saddle would show up at the vet inspection which we would simply fail. My saddle really gets tested to the limits, in all weather and conditions. I wouldn’t ride in anything less.”

Having a saddle for 3 years and not looking battered is no mean feat! My saddle looks brand new! People think I clean my saddle often but simply baby wiping it does the trick, and as an event rider, that is a massive weight lifted off my shoulders!”

We ended up buying the first brand new saddle we’ve ever bought and never looked back. I use the Wintec Endurance saddle. It’s lightweight and it’s so easy to keep clean if (more likely when) it gets dirty on a ride. It’s so comfortable and keeps me in a great position when I ride. We’ve ridden in some awful conditions and it’s still in just as good condition now as it was when we bought it. Wipe down after use and you’re set!”

The interchangeable gullet system helps us to match the saddle to the horse and the cair system ensures their utmost comfort. We spend long hours in the saddle and often intense training the Wintec saddles are unrivaled in their comfort for both horse and rider and the synthetic saddles give the ease of cleaning and low maintenance which makes for easy care as well as being able to use them in all weather.”

Although she is an older mare, I continue to work gently yet effectively in both dressage and gentle jumping, and the adjustability of my Wintec saddles are perfect for a horse with an improving top line. I enjoy the fun side of riding, and that’s why we take long hacks, summer visits at the sea and a lot of play time! Creating a bond with your horse is one of the greatest blessings and if you really love what you’re doing with your equine life, people will be convinced and would like to join you and learn more about horses, how to ride them and of course which would be the proper equipment.”

When Gerald was then ready for his first saddle, I had no hesitation going for a Wintec that would change with him.  My 3 saddles have stood the test of time, have been robust and being rainproof has been a godsend as I have competed in the worst of down pours and the last thing you want to do it start messing around trying to dry treat and protect leather when you and your horse are soaked.  A quick wipe off with a towel and I am fine to leave till I have time to wash the sand and mud off.”

Maike H

dk Denmark

Maike says: “I have used Wintec saddles since 1995. It’s the only saddle I can carry myself (I’m suffering from fibromyalgia) and I love the fact that it can be changed to fit the horse even after several months in the pasture.  I’m riding both dressage and hacking, as well as teaching others to ride, so a saddle that can be used for all of this, is perfect for both me and my horses. Since my horses are my “antidepressants” it’s absolutely necessary that I can manage the grooming and tacking myself and I can easily change the gullet all by myself if needed. And I’m riding in all sorts of weather all year, which a saddle without CAIR or in leather isn’t always coping.”

Megan and her horse Tango are active members of Pony Club, British Riding Club and BD Youth. Megan says: “On my previous pony, we had numerous issues with saddle fit causing pressure points on her back. However, since using a Wintec as Tango’s first saddle for the past year, this has not been an issue as the saddle can be easily fitted and the CAIR system is so comfortable for Tango! Being a chestnut mare, Tango can be very opinionated and it is so reassuring to know that her Wintec saddle earns her approval as I’m sure she would let me know otherwise! Furthermore, the adjustable gullet and riser systems remove the need to buy a new saddle every time she changes shape.  Tango and I are not fair weather riders. As Wintec saddles are weatherproof, when wet, it does not ruin my white jodhpurs unlike a leather saddle when the dye runs (my mum is very pleased-the benefits never end!)”

And last summer we competed in our first 77-mile competition and came in 12th (out of 40). We ride in the Netherlands and Germany.”

Wintec is probably the saddle brand that I most recommended to people due to its ability to be adjusted and easily fitted to a rider’s horse at the time of purchase and as the horses changes shape with work and change of season.”

Here lies my revelation: synthetic is the way forward! Sprout is brilliant with young children and dogs, so it always takes us a long time to leave the beach as so many people want to stop and chat, which I feel would be a great platform for advertising the Wintec brand. Sofia and her “shy, huge gentleman” have a beautiful story.  Sofia says “I found this shy, huge gentleman about a year ago. It was basically a miracle, that we found a Polish newspaper telling story of a horse who had fallen down in a well. That was my grey, shy horse. The lady who sold him didn’t know about his past. When he moved in with me, they told that he had been jumping 1m classes. In reality, he had been jumping 1.40 cm classes and was much more worthy than what I got him. We started to treat his body, and now his starting to bloom – he is getting relaxed, happy and curious. Since he has problems with his back because of falling down in well, he definitely would love to have the Wintec Saddle to support his amazing recovery. Right now we are patiently lifting our level from 0.70 m to 0.90 m. But the most important thing is just being happy and enjoying eachother.”
